The 1st United Kingdom tournament for males has been held in 1899 and in 1900 the pioneer competition for females was organised. Those, having said that, had been considered as non official and 1904 is considered as the start of the official British games. The expansion of badminton recognition in the Great Britain is explained by these numbers. From 300 badminton clubs in the 1920 it goes to 500 ten years later and reached closed to ten thousands after the second world war that's a lot of people to handle the badminton rackets.
 
Back 1934, the International Badminton Federation (IBF) has been formed having 9 members - Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales. The International Badminton Federation (IBF) made the decision in 1939, that the moment have came for the inauguration of worldwide contest. Its leader, Sir George A.
